"It's the very same old tissue, honey, it doesn't make a difference, ok? It's still going to work the exact same way", my exasperated hubby hissed into my ear as I got containers after cartons of some 'designer' tissue. DESIGNER TISSUE! Hah, can you even hear me state that? I can't believe I actually composed 'designer tissue'. So, yes, for a graphic designer and writer who understands all about the sort of effort one puts into product packaging and branding products, I sure succumbed to it. All the hoopla. The shenanigans. The 'suck 'em in with great copy and fab color combination'. Hey, I am still a consumer, keep in mind that. I am entitled to succumb to nice packaging, I have a dominating right to be human.

However they are so quite ... the product packaging. I swear!

They have the 'nature fan' product packaging, the 'fruity' product packaging, the 'lady on the go' packaging, and then they have the 'kids' packaging. I grabbed 4 of each style bundles and made a run for the counter with them with my shouting kids and exasperated other half running after me in slow motion.

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with elegant packaging designs on them. I liked the packaging creates so much, after using up all the tissues in the boxes, I would cut out the styles and put it into my 'should keep for reference' clear folder. I don't keep a lot of things in there since I am quite selective about the styles that I like, but these product packaging designs made the cut.

You see, this is the kind of thing that occurs when you put some effort into making your packaging design. Yeah, we all have this in the back of our heads ... "Hey, it's PACKAGING! They're going to THROW the PACKAGING away.

The more edible food packaging effort you put into developing your packaging, more consumers will take a look and stop at your product packaging or what's inside the product packaging. Now, does it make sense for me to state now that when they take and stop notification of your product packaging, your possibility of getting them to buy your product boosts?

You see, the function of product packaging is to get the consumer's attention. And without an electrifying product packaging, customers are going to walk past the loads and stacks of other rival products ... and yours ... without even knowing you're there! Your item is sitting there on a shelf, for goodness sake, and the only weapon you have is to have a great packaging. Once they stop and have a look, you've won the very first round.

Think about it!
